Kate's Birthday and Birthday Party

Can't believe our girl turned EIGHT!! I say that every year, but boy, eight feels old! Her birthday was on a Sunday, so we pretty much celebrated all weekend. Ha!

We started her birthday morning with a birthday donut on the "You are Special" plate.

It's nice when they don't  have to go to school on their birthday.  She got some special treatment at church that morning.

We met Gran and Nanny for lunch and she got lots of great presents!

We came home and she opened presents from us.

That night, we went to Mimi and Papa's for more celebration and presents.  We played Kate's new Pie Face game. Ha!

It was a great day celebrating our girl!!

Then about a week and a half later, she had her birthday party with friends at our house.  It was like the birthday celebration that never ends.  Ha!

We had a spa party.  The girls had a lot of fun.  I had a couple friends come help me, so we set up stations and the girls just rotated through getting pedictures, doing a facial, getting makeup done, and doing a sugar scrub on their hands.  We also had a snack time with fancy glasses and did a photo booth.  I love seeing Kate with her friends!

Jack had to be part of the action the whole time. Haha!

Jack's Birthday Party

We celebrated this year with a Lego party, of course!  It was a super fun party to plan and create.

We made giant Legos for the front door and used his Legos to make a door sign.

We had lots of yummy food.

I bought Lego silicone molds and made Lego and minifigure shaped candies for the tops of the cupcakes.

More decor...

We had stations set up for the kids.  There were about 15 kids here and at one point, it was eerily quiet...  most of the kids were all building Legos downstairs.  It kept them SO busy! We were also playing the Lego movie down there (that may have had something to do with it, too!).

We also had a Lego Duplo station for the younger kids, a bean bag toss outside (it was GORGEOUS that day!!), a Lego toss in the hallway, and decorate a minifigure at the table.

Gran made an awesome Lego cake for Jack Man! It was super yummy, too!

Jack got so many nice gifts.  We spent LOTS of time that next week building all his new Lego sets.

Wonder what his 6th birthday party will be??
