Girls' Weekend

Megan and I planned a fun overnight "staycation" with our girls.  We got a hotel at Westport and let them swim, we ate out, and we went to The Science Center.  It was so fun to have a little girl time with them!

We left to go out to dinner and came back to this! The lady at the front desk knew we were having a little girls' weekend and wanted to make it special.  She said, "I put a little something in your room." So sweet!

Super fun little (overnight) "getaway".

Cheap Thrills

photo 5.JPG

I scored these for 88 cents on clearance at Target. I honestly don't think they are worth more than that, but they sure made my girl so happy for about 10 minutes.

She over exaggeratedly pointed to things, clicked them on the table, and became a hand model in a matter of minutes.

Soon, they bugged her and she ripped them all off.  See, good thing they were only 88 cents, huh??

A Roadtrip and a Princess Night

Last week, the kids and I visited one of my college friends, Jamie, in Joplin. We had a lot of fun with Jamie and her beautiful girls, Emery and Arden!!

We took all four kids on a quick shopping trip and amazingly, we all survived. ha!

That evening, the Chick-fil-a in Joplin put on a Princess Night. It was done really well... I was so impressed!!

The girls all dressed like princesses and got free meals.

There was a horse and carriage ride with Cinderella that we were a little late for. But, the girls stared and stared at the horse going around and around the parking lot.

Seriously, could Emery and Arden BE any cuter?!?! And, Jamie is crazy talented and made their cute tutu dresses!

Can you tell how "spent" Kate was when the event was over?? She was hot, tired, and her dress was itching her.

And, let me tell you... Jamie and I were exhausted!!

Oh, and poor Jack Man was surrounded by all this girliness! He was pretty content to hang out in the stroller, though.

We can't wait to visit with those girls again!

Girly Girl

Guess what we did last night?

_MG_9522

Kate got her nails painted for the very first time.

I was painting my toes when she was in the bathtub and she was VERY interested. So, I asked her if she wanted hers painted, and she wanted to get out of the tub right away.

So, after brushing teeth and getting jammies on, we sat on the couch and she got her nails AND toes painted.

She sat so still and was very careful after they were done. I showed her how to blow on them and how to lay them flat so they wouldn't get smudged.

She pranced around the rest of the evening showing off her nails. She kept stooping down to look at her toes.

We may have started something... I guess I need to go invest in some fun polish for my girl!
