Our family had a fun Easter weekend.
We all actually coordinated this year, which was fun. I found Jack Man a cute Chaps shirt the week before Easter, and then discovered that it perfectly matched this random Old Navy dress that I picked up for Kate at Goodwill, of all places, for $2. Paired with a sweater, white ruffly socks, shiny white shoes, pearls, and a big white bow.... and you would never know how little I paid for it. Except that I just told you, so my secret is out. :)
Once Mark reminded me that he had a blue sweater vest he could wear, the "blue theme" was born.
Mark had to be up at church early that morning, so my mom and I got the kids all ready. Kate even let me curl her hair.
Easter was rainy, so curled hair didn't last very long.
Then, we took WAY too many pictures as we were trying to get out the door.
Kate never really gets tired of taking pictures. She basically lives her life like she has a full audience at all times, so it's easy to take a jillion pictures of her.
Jack, on the other hand... well, you just have to catch him on the run.
Check out his super cute little shoes!
After church, we went to Mark's family's house for lunch. The kids got a cool water/sand table from Gran and some books from Nanny & Poppy.
After that, we headed to my family's house for another meal.
Here, we attempted some cute pictures of Jack and Kate together, as well as some family pictures (which will be a whole other post... it was quite an ordeal!).
Get ready for the mother load of pictures. (Or just scroll down if you get bored. ha!)
See how well this is going? Why we kept trying, I have no idea.
Ok, I think we are done here. ZERO good pictures of the kids together. Mission not accomplished.
Anyway, back to Easter...We had to have an egg hunt on the deck because it was so wet out.
The kids got fun Easter baskets. The Moore family was over. Kate is CRAZY about all of them, and insisted on Lisa dancing and being crazy with her. A few Easter dance parties occurred. Kate's favorite thing to do, of course.
We ended the day with two VERY worn out kiddos. Always a feeling of success when that happens. You know the day has been spent having a blast when that happens.
