Jack's 5th Birthday

Jack's birthday didn't fall on a preschool day, so he got to celebrate a day early there.  He took a cookie cake, got a birthday crown, and everyone sung to him.

The next morning on his actual birthday, we started with a birthday donut breakfast.

I love his little sleepy eyes in these pictures.

He and I had our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meeting to go to that morning. He requested McDonald's for his birthday dinner.  Ha! Gross. I talked him into just going there for lunch after MOPS. He was a happy camper.

That evening, we had homemade pizza. He chose not to go out for dinner, but wanted pizza instead.  He's a simple guy.  McDonalds and pizza.

After dinner, it was time for presents.  His favorite part!

He got a few Lego sets and tickets to Legofest in March.

I made him a Lego cake.  Don't you just LOVE my cake decorating skills (wink, wink!)?? I should probably look into taking a class because I always think I can pull it off and then it turns out something like this. Ha!

All in all, he had a GREAT birthday!!
