We had a fun event for the kiddos at church on the Friday night before Halloween.
Our friends, the Starlings and the Matthews came and this was our whole crew, minus Sami and her friend. Aren't they all so cute??
And, let me just warn you, that by the time you are finished looking at all of these pictures, you will never want to see another picture of Jack in this silly costume. We couldn't even STAND how cute he looked, so we got a little camera happy with him.
Poor guy couldn't even turn his head!! ha!!
There were lots of fun games for the kids to play.
And... here's Jack again!! Looking as happy as ever in his huge mane.
I made Kate's costume this year and it was SOOO fun putting it all together.
Kate and sweet little Allie
Who wants another lion picture???
Poor Jack. At this point, he was trying to eat Cheerios, but they kept getting stuck to his mane under his chin!!
So, we decided to free him! His poor little head was all sweaty.
Then, on Sunday, we trick or treated in the neighborhood. It was our first Halloween in years being at home with just us. It was really nice.
I can't believe we even got Kate to smile for pictures at this point. She pretty much hated everything about her costume.
This girl's got MAJOR issues with clothing. Things are always itchy, too tight, "not perfect" (in her words) , or the line on her sock isn't right. (Hello!!! That was totally me when I was little, too!!)
Now, Jack... this boy doesn't have too many issues! He's just happy.
Our neighbor dressed up as Minnie Mouse, too!!
At this point, she was ready to be done trick or treating and wanted to go inside for chili.
She quickly dumped out her loot.
She was pretty thrilled. Wait until she REALLY gets into trick or treating!!
She still really didn't quite understand that more houses = more candy.
I think her only thought was more houses = longer she has to walk around in uncomfortable shoes.
Our last trick or treaters were surprise visitors!! Her babysitter, Mary, and her grandkids, showed up at the door and Kate was over the moon. Look at her face!
And now, I'll leave you with more pictures of Jack as a lion. haha!!
He will be so mad at me one day for this!!
