Kate chose her 5th birthday party theme a few days after her 4th birthday and never changed her mind. She wanted a rockstar party which seemed perfectly fitting for our girl who turns everything into a microphone, sings Taylor Swift at the top of her lungs, and has some pretty sweet dance moves. This was a crazy fun party to plan!! It took me FOREVER to pull it all together, but I was super happy with how everything turned out.
We had the party at Uncle Scott's house. I was so excited to use his patio for karaoke and envisioned the kids all dancing out there. Well, lo and behold, her party day was rainy and we had 50 mph wind gusts. And, of course it was 70 degrees and sunny the day before. So, we set up the karaoke in the garage and it was PERFECT!! Plenty of room for singing and dancing!
So, get ready for picture overload (a month later, mind you).
First, the details...
Mark took some pictures of our big five year old before the party.
And some pictures with Mommy and Jack.
Kate had SO much fun with all of her friends!
It was SUCH a fun day!! I love when a plan comes together. And I love that so many people came together to celebrate our girl.
This little man had some fun, too!
He is ready for his birthday party. Unlike Kate, he keeps changing his mind... Diego, Woody, or superheroes??? We'll have to see...
