Kate's Bake Shoppe Birthday Party

Kate and I decided on a Bake Shoppe theme for her birthday party with her friends.  It was such a cute theme for a bunch of little girls.

We invited her classmates and the girls from her Daisy troop.  Such a fun group of girls.

Papa made this awesome frame for the awning and then we covered it with a sheet we already had and scalloped the edges.  I love how it turned out!

We baked and iced a cake for each girl to decorate.

Cake decorations ready to go! We also had bags of icing for them to pipe on.  They loved that part!

Mark made these chef hats out of cardstock and tissue paper.  So cute and super cheap!

Girly snacks

I made all the girls these aprons out of bandanas! I would have never thought to do that. Thank goodness for the Internet and Pinterest!

Putting on aprons and chef hats

Half of the girls decorated cakes while the other half played Bake Shoppe Bingo.  It worked out perfectly!

The girls were all super concentrated as they worked to decorate their cakes.

Mark took a picture of each girl with her decorated cake on the cake stand.

Look at all of those pretty cakes!

Mark told them to go crazy... and they did!

We played a fun cake walk game after they decorated cakes.  They walked around on numbers to music and when the music stopped, they stopped on a number.  I chose a number and that person (instead of winning a cake like in a traditional cake walk) got to choose a dance move for everyone to do.  It was hilarious!! Some of the girls (like my own) are crazy and some are so shy.

After the game, we had snacks and drinks.

Kate opened presents.  She got so many great things.

We sung "Happy Birthday" and the girls ate cupcakes.

The cakes got boxed up for the girls to take home.

This was such a fun party.  I had a lot of moms text me and tell me how much fun their daughter had, so I'd say it was a success!  Kate had a blast with her friends, too.   I love watching all of them together.
