North Pole Breakfast (for dinner)

This was our fourth (maybe fifth??) annual North Pole Breakfast (for dinner).  The kids LOVE this tradition and look forward to it every year!

It's when Mac, our elf comes back to visit for the holiday season.

Thanksgiving and Black Friday Family Fun Day

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving full of family and food!

Oh, and full of cup stacking.

We started a tradition about four years ago of doing a "Black Friday Family Fun Day" instead of shopping.

We plan fun stops and things to do and don't tell the kids what we are doing until we are headed to the next stop.

First stop was a pancake house.  Super yummy! It's a restaurant that is always busy and we had to wait for quite a bit, but the kids agreed that it was worth the wait! :)

After that, we headed to Sports Fusion to play miniature golf and games.

The kids loaded up on tickets and prizes.

Kate had a birthday party to go to right around there, so we dropped her off for a couple hours.

After her party, we went to dinner and then took them to see the Peanuts Movie.

Our last stops were the drive through lights we always go see in O'Fallon and then the crazy guy's house, who programs his lights to music.  We go every year. Ha!

Love making memories with this crew!

Kate's Birthday and Birthday Party

Can't believe our girl turned EIGHT!! I say that every year, but boy, eight feels old! Her birthday was on a Sunday, so we pretty much celebrated all weekend. Ha!

We started her birthday morning with a birthday donut on the "You are Special" plate.

It's nice when they don't  have to go to school on their birthday.  She got some special treatment at church that morning.

We met Gran and Nanny for lunch and she got lots of great presents!

We came home and she opened presents from us.

That night, we went to Mimi and Papa's for more celebration and presents.  We played Kate's new Pie Face game. Ha!

It was a great day celebrating our girl!!

Then about a week and a half later, she had her birthday party with friends at our house.  It was like the birthday celebration that never ends.  Ha!

We had a spa party.  The girls had a lot of fun.  I had a couple friends come help me, so we set up stations and the girls just rotated through getting pedictures, doing a facial, getting makeup done, and doing a sugar scrub on their hands.  We also had a snack time with fancy glasses and did a photo booth.  I love seeing Kate with her friends!

Jack had to be part of the action the whole time. Haha!
