Countertop
Apparently, Kate sits on the countertop A LOT. I was looking through some old posts and realized how many pictures we have of her with her hiney planted on our kitchen counter.
She likes to be up high around all the action. It's no fun to be at knee level when Mama is cooking up there.
Here she is the other day banging on a pan with a wooden spoon. You know, that's just fun, right?? Not for our ears, but F-U-N to a crazy one year old.

Every time she would hit it, she would squint her eyes beforehand because she knew how loud it was going to be.
That's my crazy girl for ya!
HAPPY MONDAY!!

Cooking with Our Girl Part II
Remember how much Kate loves to help cook? Well, she does. She loves to be up on the counter joining in on all the action.
On this occasion, she was just watching me make some grilled cheeses for lunch and enjoying some raisins.

And, on this occasion, she was helping me whip up some stuffed peppers for the Crockpot.

But, I must say, you are a dang good mixer. Very persistent. When your stirring gets a little crazy, and stuff goes flying all over the countertop, you make sure to stick your foot in it.

And then, put it right back in the mix.

And then, put it right back in the mix.
I apologize to anyone that indulged in these stuffed peppers. They may have had toddler foot cooties on them.

Cooking with my girl
Last weekend, I wanted to make this. From the Pioneer Woman, of course. I'm sure I have linked it on here before, because oh my goodness... be still my heart... it. is. incredible. I always make it with blueberries because I'm not a fan of blackberries. Too seedy or something.
So, seriously, go make it. Like, now. And then go run on the treadmill for three hours! OK, there's my Pioneer Woman plug for the day (literally, it happens daily!).
Kate wanted to see what exactly I was doing up there, so I plopped her up on the counter thinking she would be more of a bother than anything else. Nice Mom, right??
But, she got so into the pouring and stirring that it ended up being so much fun having her help me!
