Leave it to the Roskowske's to be doing everything last minute! We spent the evening scrubbing the house, taking pictures of the belly, packing bags... you would think we could've spread that out over the course of the week, but stuff just kept coming up.
Let me warn you: This picture is SHOCKING!! I can't believe I am that huge... thank goodness, not for long. Kate always hits my belly and says "Mommy big belly". Thanks, girl.
Ok, now that that's outta the way, let's move on to some cuter ones...
Kate slept in her Big Sister jammies. She insisted on getting pictures in Baby Jack's crib.
We did manage to squeeze in some quality time with our little family of three for the last time. In which Mark and I got all weepy with Kate kissing and tickling all over and telling her how much we love her.
We'll update more when Baby Jack makes his arrival!!

Our Special Day
We took Kate out on Sunday for a special day before Baby Jack makes his arrival. After church, we went to lunch and then headed to the Magic House. We had a blast!!
This is Kate's fake smile. We can't even pull out the camera without her plastering this on.
Working in the "Oval Office". You know, making all those important decisions and all.
In the Construcion Zone "painting" a wall.
We just look goofy in that one.
Anything music related was a fave.
And, the water room... well, that was just FUN!
Until she started licking the water off the germ infested water tables.
We had a little accident in the pretend "bank". Poor girl was running to sit in a chair, and ran right into the chair. Not sure how it happened, but her loss of coordination could have come from her lack of sleep that day. She bit her tongue and it bled all in her mouth. We made a trip to the Family Restroom to get her a wet paper towel and then she was "all better".
See? She's showing off her all better tongue to Daddy.
This was the big finale at the Magic House. So fun!!
After the Magic House, ice cream was in order.
I don't think we were in the car five minutes after that and she was sound asleep in the backseat.
It was such a fun day with our girl on our last weekend as a family of three.

Big Girl Room
A couple of weeks ago, we made the big switch to a big girl bed for Kate. We needed the crib and changing table for Jack's room, so we had to do it.
The transition has gone pretty smoothly. She occasionally says, "No likeee big girl bed." But, I think she does it more to get a rise out of us.
So, ON the big day of getting both of their rooms ready, we had a sewage backup in our basement. The process took longer than we thought because of that, but Kate's room is pretty much done and Jack's room is painted, has furniture in it, and just needs stuff up on the wall. I'll post pictures when it's all done.
We were telling her to pretend to be "sad" because we were taking apart her crib.
Painting Baby Jack's room... she kept saying "Bay Jack love dis!!"
And, here's the big sister in her new big girl bed!!
This lucky girl has a super cool tent in her room!!
We found all the furniture (dresser, chest, headboard, and nightstand) on craigslist and painted it white...
It turned out really cute! I still need to get to the headboard. Oh, and see that silly Edgerrin James bobblehead doll? Kate got that as a joke from some friends and she won't let us get rid of it. She has always loved it. The head is all broken off, and she still wants to keep it. We think it's so funny, so we just keep it out.

Baby Day
Next Friday. 8 a.m. It's game time.
I am being induced a week early because this kid is big!! At an ultrasound at 35 weeks, he was already six and a half pounds and had a head that was measuring at 38 weeks.
So far, I've gained all of eight pounds, which you would NEVER know by looking at my belly. It's HUGE!! I have perfected the waddle. When people at work walk by me, they get this pitiful look on their face and say, "How ya feeling?" I'm like a ticking time bomb.
I'll miss feeling the baby move. I'll miss people always letting you sit in the comfy chair.
I WILL NOT miss the heartburn, sore feet, sore back, sore everything, not being able to sleep, waking up ten million times throughout the night to go to the bathroom, not being able to hold Kate comfortably on my lap, and the general uncomfortable-ness that comes with growing a human.
I don't do pregnancy well... can you tell??
Soooo, on January 29th, pray, pray, pray. Pray everything goes well. Pray Kate adjusts well. Pray that Baby Jack is a good sleeper. :) And, finally, pray that he's not a ten pounder!!

VIDEOS!!
This one cracks me up. It was New Year's Eve right after midnight and Little Miss was STILL awake!
This one starts out good... sweet singing in the car... and then, she gets goofy as usual. Which is why we love her.
And this one... well, this one just shows the craziness that is Kate.

About Time for Some Christmas Pics
Wouldn't you say?
I'm just going to fill this post with pictures because they speak for themselves. Kate LOVED Christmas. She was pure excitement.

All dressed up for Christmas Eve.
She's not a ham or anything.
Kate and Maddie. They adore each other.
Good morning!!
Santa also brought her this cute little picnic table.
Then, it was on to opening all the presents from Mommy and Daddy. This is literally how excited she got about each one.
New cups! Seriously, who gets excited about cups for Christmas?? Kate Rileigh does. She's easy to please.
New Play-Doh and tools on her new table. While watching a new Barney video. The girl was in heaven.
After doing our little family Christmas, we headed to Mark's family's Christmas.

A new sleeping bag!!
After that, we headed to my family's house. It was quite a whirlwind of a day, but a lot of fun.

By the end of the night, Kate's dress was off and she was running around in red tights and a red bodysuit looking pretty silly. No nap that day and only a couple of meltdowns. I'd consider that a success!!
Thanks to everyone who made our Christmas wonderful!!
