Parent Day at Church

I got to join Kate in her little class at church. It was fun to see what they do.

All those little kiddos are so cute!

Whatever is behind the kids in that last picture makes it look like they are in a dungeon basement, but they're not. It's a cute little Children's Wing that they are adding on to, as well.

Wish I would've used Mark's camera for better pictures and I wish I would've taken MORE! They did a lot of really fun things.

On a funny note, the last activity was supposed to teach the kids about Jesus performing a miracle and turning water into wine. The kids got to stomp water balloons (grapes). When the leader was telling the story of Jesus turning water to wine, a little girl in the class turned to her mom and said, "Mommy, you LOVE wine!" All the parents thought that was hilarious! haha!

Magic House

We bought a membership to The Magic House and are loving the fact that we can go WHENEVER we want!! This will be perfect for cold winter days and hot summer days, and any days in between.

I am always super impressed with The Magic House and the kids absolutely adore it there.

Pretend play at it's best!!

Jack was fascinated with this little "mechanic" area.

They enjoyed the sand and water areas. Jack liked the water table a little too much. As in, she put his mouth on everything!

One of my most favorite areas of The Magic House is a big "construction site". It's so fun and we always seem to spend a lot of time there.

They can play with tools, pretend to paint walls, lay flooring, wear big toolbelts... it's just really cute!

Jack is our little engineer. Always trying to fit things together, find out how things work.

If you made it all the way to end... WOW! You rock! I blog because I don't scrapbook. This is the only way I can document all of our memories to look back on and I don't want to leave out anything. That would explain the picture overload!

Six Flags

We have had so much fun crossing stuff off of our Summer Bucket List.

photo 10

A few weeks ago, I took Kate to Six Flags. Mimi and our friend, Mandy, came along.

I thought Kate would love all the rides, and be a little daredevil. Uh, not so much. As in, she cried on the kiddie train and the tea cups.

We did have a great time, though. There were a few things that she just loved like driving the old time cars and riding the huge ferris wheel.

She loved running in the little splash park.

But then, she couldn't stand being wet. Luckily, I know my girl and I had packed an extra change of clothes down to underwear. After a quick wardrobe change, we were back in business.

We took her on a couple rides that she REALLY hated... lesson learned.

The Rush Street Flyer started well... and then ended bad. She couldn't get over the fact that it made her belly drop so much. Insert major drama over that fact. :)

On the Mine Train, I looked back at my mom and said, "I might be the worst parent ever." So, the rest of the ride, Kate wailed "We are the WORST PARENTS EVER!!" haha! She has since nicknamed the Mine Train the "Jerk Train", because in her words, it was just so "jerky". I seriously didn't remember it being like that. Oops.

She did give me a big kiss later in the day and said, "That's for bringing me to Six Flags".

And now, every time we pass by, she screams and points to the ferris wheel, saying "I rode that!!!"

Mission accomplished.
