Not Ready for Winter

It's cold here.  Really cold.

Fall is always so short and then winter just seems to draaaag on.

So, I'm reminiscing about a few weekends ago when the weather was AWESOME and we took a pretty fall drive, had a picnic, found huge leaves on the Katy Trail and just enjoyed being outside.

Indianapolis

The day after Halloween, we headed out to Indianapolis with Gran and Nanny to go to the Children's Museum of Indianapolis.  We took Kate there for her 3rd birthday and it's amazing.  We were so excited to go back.  I highly recommend it!

We got in that evening and went to a music place where the kids could play a bunch of drums and instruments.  It was a lot of fun! 

We stayed in a nice hotel with big rooms. The kids liked their little bed on the fold out couch.

We spent the whole next day at the Children's Museum. Pretty much from open to close. It really is such a great children's museum!

Such a great weekend away and good memories made!!

October Happenings

Now that it's almost the end of November (how did THAT happen???), let's go back and recap October.

The month of October is always CRAZY for us!  We cram in as much fall fun as we can.

Added to the fun and craziness of October this year, we went to a friend's wedding in Louisville one weekend and Mark and I went to San Francisco for almost a week (he attended a conference there for work and I got to tag along!).

I was thankful for anything we were able to squeeze in!

We went apple picking at Eckert's.

Jack and I made a trip to The Magic House.

Kate had her fall party at school.

We went to the Louisville Slugger Museum while we were in Louisville for a friend's wedding.

On the way home from Louisville, we took a little detour to go to this amazing park Brad told us about.

While Kate and I were enjoying the scenery and live music, Mark was taking pictures of Jack by a fountain and he walked into it as it shot up. Only Jack.

We went to a fall party at Brad and Vicky's. So fun!!

We went to the Haunted Hayloft at Purina Farms.

Mark and I went to San Francisco!

We carved pumpkins.

We had a rainy Halloween.

And who can forget that we cheered on the Cardinals in the World Series?? Boo for that one.
