Weighing In: 18 months

mh19

Jack's 18 month stats (technically, he's almost 19 months, but we just had his 18 month check-up):

Height: 33 inches
Weight: 26 lbs. 10 oz.
Head circumference: 18.9 inches

He's right above the 50th percentile line. He's a healthy, growing boy.

At his visit, our pediatrician asked me, "So, what kinds of things can Jack do?". Without hesitating (or giving me a chance to answer), Kate pipes up, "He hits, bites, pinches, pulls hair..." haha!!

We love our crazy boy!

Birthday Party

A couple of weeks ago, we celebrated our friend, Trevor's, third birthday.

It was hot and steamy, but the kids loved the bounce house.

Busy, Busy Boy

Jack is CONSTANTLY into something.

He plays in the toilet, opens every cabinet, finds things we have hidden from him, digs through the trash, is obsessed with electronics, and constantly touches the flat screen t.v.

This is just the start of it. I could go on and on.

If we catch him, he has two responses. 1. Run OR 2. Flash a smile. He cracks us up.

He's absolutely crazy!

But, SWEET and SNUGGLY as can be... when he sits still, that is!

My Big Boy

He sits in a booster seat now, and has been for awhile.

He knows his sister doesn't have to sit in one, so sometimes he gets upset and wants to sit in a regular chair.

LL3N7793.jpg

He just pulls himself up there and sits so calmly waiting for me to serve him his meal there. ha!

LL3N7787.jpg

Usually, I scoop him up and move him over to his booster, while he kicks and screams.

LL3N7786.jpg

But, occasionally, I'll just let him feel like a "big" boy.

Cooking with the Kids

I use the term "cooking" lightly.

LL3N7808.jpg

Kate's actually pretty into it.

But, Jack, well... he prefers the eating part.

Cardinals Game

We took my parents out to dinner and to the Cardinal's game for their 30th anniversary last week.

We ate at The Fatted Calf in Clayton. GREAT burgers!

Then, we headed to the stadium.

We had seats WAY up high, but really, there isn't a bad seat in Busch Stadium.

This was Jack's first game. He did great! He loved looking at all the people, eating snacks, and drinking out of a water bottle.

Kate went to a game awhile back. She wanted to know about each player and liked dancing to all the music.

I thought Jack would fall asleep, but he made it through the whole game.

And, even though the temperature was a hundred degrees when we left for the game, it wasn't too bad way up in the nosebleeds. ha!
