Yesterday was spent putting fall decorations away and pulling out our TEN boxes of Christmas decorations. Normally, we put on Christmas music and take our time unwrapping each item, putting much thought into just where to place it. It's quite the process.
Let me tell you... it was WAY different this year. First of all, football was on the t.v. No Christmas music. Mark was too into it for me to turn it off. No big deal.
Oh, and then there's that one year old little girl you may have heard of. You know, the one that likes to get into everything? Mark would bring a box up from the basement, I would quickly unwrap everything, and send it back down. Kate, as usual, got into everything. She especially liked all the glass stuff. Go figure. She wouldn't take a second glance at all of the plush snowmen. No, it was all the breakables. At one point, I looked over and she was trying to fit all the pieces of the nativity set into a coffee mug. When she figured out that they wouldn't fit, she decided to try to stack all the coffee mugs. Oh, and she has just learned how to throw stuff away. We will say, "Go throw this in the trash" and she walks to the kitchen trash can and throws it away. Yeah, that's where a lot of our Christmas decorations ended up. Same thing this morning... she took candles off of the coffee table centerpiece and threw them away. Yesterday, I found her sippy cup in there.
The best was when we opened one of the nativity sets. She found baby Jesus right away, held him close to her, and patted him like she does her baby dolls. Like she knew him and loved him. Baby girl, I pray you grow to know Jesus and love Him like crazy. Then, she stuck him in her mouth.

ha ha. I love it! The trash can, the mugs and baby Jesus in her mouth. Does it really get any better? :)
