We celebrated Jack's birthday with a Toy Story party. We let him pick what kind of party he had this year. After starting with an "Eggo" (Diego) party, a slight detour towards a superhero party, and even a dabble into a "Dino Dan" party, we finally landed on Toy Story. He LOVES Buzz and Woody, and got a lot of Toy Story stuff for Christmas, so we already had a lot of decor.
We borrowed some Toy Story characters from friends, found a lot of free printables on the Internet, Mark made some designs, we planned a themed menu, and went to work putting it all together.
I was THRILLED with how it all turned out. I loved how colorful it all was!! Pictures and captions from here on out. :)
Jack's goofy grin
The banner and a few other printables came from HERE.
It'll be awhile until I do cookies like this again. They took me forever!!
Sunnyside box from Toy Story 3.
In the movie, Andy's room is decorated with pictures he drew of his toys. Some super talented person recreated them and put them on the Internet for people to print. It looked exactly like real crayon. We hung them all around the kitchen.
I mean, seriously, how cute is that?? You can download the pictures HERE and use for your own Toy Story party!
The army men were ziplining in to the party.
These things were only $5.99 (for both) from Party City and almost entirely covered the sliding glass doors. They were huge!
We had a coloring station with Toy Story pictures and stickers.
We played a game called, "There's a snake in my boot!"
Jack ripped through all of his presents. This year, he got lots of superhero stuff, some cowboy gear, a few pajama sets, books, play tools, a Sit and Spin, a Leap Pad and games, and lots more!
We sung Happy Birthday and had Toy Story cake and alien cupcakes.
After he blew out the candle before we made it through one line of Happy Birthday!
We gave sheriff badge cookies and rocket shaped rice crispy treats as party favors.
Such a fun party!! Jack is still talking about it, which means it was a success!!
