Ok, not quite 1,001, but it may come close.
Actually, let me back up to Christmas Eve.
We went to church in the afternoon and then had our traditional chili dinner. The kids opened up their jammies, and then Papa read The Night Before Christmas. Once the kiddos were in their beds, they went right to sleep... they were so excited.
About 10 minutes before we had to leave for church, Jack fell against the granite counter top and clobbered his head. Poor little guy.
Then, we tried to snap a picture on the front porch, but Jack was crying because he was cold (even though he was refusing to put on his coat).
On Christmas morning, the kids came in our room around 7:00. We held them off until about 7:30. Then, Mark read the Christmas story from the Bible and after that, they were ready to go!
Daddy and Papa went downstairs to see if Santa came while the kiddos waited upstairs.
Then, they were off!
This was after they exchanged their gifts from each other.
This gift was just so funny and cute. A couple weeks before Christmas, the kids went downstairs and wrapped a present for us for a really long time. ha! They used A LOT of tape and a lot of little pieces of wrapping paper. They were so excited for us to open it on Christmas morning. Inside were some little handwritten notes and a few of Jack's superhero guys. haha!
Papa built Kate a bed for her American Girl doll. It was too big to wrap, so we brought it in for her while the kids turned their backs.
Later that day, we went to Gran's for more family time, presents, and yummy food.
It was a WONDERFUL day!!
