I had to wake Jack up early on his birthday because I was volunteering at Kate's 100th day of school event that morning and I wanted him to have his birthday doughnut (and just be able to see him) before I left.
He woke up just knowing he was four. He was so happy.
He spent the morning with Mimi while I was with Kate at school.
After I came home, he was exhausted from getting up earlier than usual and his behavior was not fun! He took a nap while I made his tie-dyed birthday cake. Craziness. Six bowls, precise food coloring measurements... Victoria iced it for me and we put superheroes all over it.
Victoria, Ruckus, and Maisy came over to celebrate with us (Uncle Brad was out of town). We had breakfast for dinner, per Jack's request.
We opened presents and gave him his new bike, which he loved!! He practiced riding it around the kitchen and he was really good at it. We were worried he wouldn't be able to reach the pedals.
(This was Mark the night before... we waited until the last minute and ended up at Walmart at midnight buying a bike.)
Afterwards, we sung Happy Birthday and had yummy cake.
Here he is the next day riding his bike on the deck like a pro! Can't wait for warmer weather!
