Kate was on Spring Break a couple weeks ago. Let me tell you how much it made me ready for summer!! It was so nice to have a week of no packing lunches, no fighting to get her up in the morning, no getting clothes out the night before. Ahhhh.
We had some REALLY nice weather (although, after the winter we had, any ounce of sunshine and temps above 50 is considered "nice").
Kate has recently learned to ride her bike without training wheels and Jack is obsessed with his bike he got for his birthday. They are both really good on their bikes, so I took them to the park one day to ride the trail. They did awesome! They were like little pros.
There was a guy, probably in his twenties, that passed us on the trail going the opposite direction. I overheard him tell his friend, "That kid has a tool box on the front of this bike. That's awesome!" haha! Jack loves that little tool box.
The park has a huge lake and the kids loved playing in the sand and throwing rocks after their bike ride. During the summer, there are sailboats all over this lake. Can't wait!
That night, my friend Megan's husband was out of town, so we went over there for a sleepover. So fun!
We took the kids to Purina Farms the next morning. A little chilly, but lots of fun!
Stay tuned for pictures from our little Spring Break weekend getaway!
