Our Christmas told mainly through pictures...
Christmas Eve jammies. Jack was so excited about getting pajamas, which was funny.
Papa read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas.
The kids set out milk and cookies for Santa...
... and reindeer food on the lawn, of course.
Continuing our tradition from last year, our elf, Mac, left the kids a note in their room saying that since they had been good all month and not touched him, that they could snuggle with him just for a little bit before he flew away to The North Pole.
They were thrilled!! They love this elf like crazy.
Christmas morning was full of excitement. The kids got a couple gifts from Santa (the things they "really" wanted- an American Girl doll bike for Kate, a big Lego set and a toy elf just like Mac (but one he can touch) for Jack, and they both got sleds.
Some of their favorite gifts:
We made Kate a cooking set. We've had lots of scrambled eggs courtesy of Kate since then!
The gift that took the cake for her, though, was a real microphone stand. She is obsessed. This was her victory dance. ha! This was even before we could find her real microphone in her room, and settled for a pink plastic one.
Jack got some great Lego sets and of course, we couldn't pass up this game for him at Five Below. He thought it was pretty funny. What's NOT funny about a game called Doody Head? Not to mention how amazing he looks in the Doody Head cap.
After opening all their presents, eating breakfast, and playing with some toys, we headed out to Gran's house. It was a BEAUTIFUL day out!
The kids got spoiled rotten with presents and we did a big White Elephant gift exchange.
It was a wonderful Christmas!
