I think you are officially old when you blog about how many coupons were in the Sunday paper, but for real!! There were A TON!!!
I am a coupon clipper, so this was exciting to me. Insert "getting old" joke here.

I have just recently gotten smart on how and when to use them.
So, I spent half the morning comparing my sale ads to my coupons and trying to come up with some good deals.
Mark had a senior picture photo shoot and as soon as he was gone and Kate woke up from her nap, we were off to Target and Schnucks to do some shopping.

(I haven't been to Wal-Mart since I swore off of it on March 16th and I plan to keep it that way. Well, except for emergencies when Wal-Mart is the only place I can go.)
This is what I came home with:
This is what I came home with:
All for a little under $35. Now, it may not look like a lot, but look closer.
These were part of a 10 for $10 sale at Schnucks and I had a .50 coupon, which they doubled. So, technically, one was free.
These toothbrushes? I had a coupon for Buy One, Get One Free. Which works great because Kate is kinda rough on her toothbrushes. And, what girl doesn't need a Barbie toothbrush??
These veggies were part of that 1o for $10 sale, too. I had a coupon for .40 or .50 which was doubled, so one was almost free.
Oh, and this Vitamin Water... FREE! They were $1.00 each at Target and I had a coupon for $1.00 off. I don't even drink the stuff, but I "bought" it anyway. Who doesn't like free??
How about this Pantene shampoo and conditioner? Target had it on sale. I had a Target coupon for $3.00 off 2. But, they will also let you stack a manufacturer's coupon on top of that. I had one of those for save $2 off of 2. So, I saved $5 on these two bottles.
Did everyone know that tip??
There was also some fabric softener, milk, lots of lunches, Yoplait yogurt, Dawn, apple bites, pudding, margarine, and apple juice.
All in all, I think I did pretty good.
Here's my pretty girl enjoying our shopping excursion.
(She was also enjoying her free cookie from Schnuck's!!)
