Ah, the infamous train table... this thing kept us up all night. It was well worth it, though. The kids LOVED it!!
Kate turned her fashion show tent into a vet clinic. She put on the doctor outfit as soon as she saw it, gathered up all of her stuffed dogs from her bed, got her doctor kit and got to work.
Jack LOVED opening presents!
We took our time and let the kids play with all their new stuff. It looked like a tornado blew through our living room!
Mid afternoon, we headed to Mimi and Papa's to see everyone and exchange presents.
Mark spent some time with his family that night.
The kids got some good quality time with Gammy and Gampy.
Gampy read The Night Before Christmas since we didn't get a chance to do it on Christmas Eve.
A couple days after Christmas, we took the kids over to see Nanny and Gran and they got lots of gifts there, too.
I think the kids had a really good Christmas this year. We tried to create some fun memories for them in the midst of overwhelming sadness.
As we drove up to the house on Christmas night, there was a row of lights on our house that had gone out. It just kind of summed up Christmas this year for us. Depressing, I know, but after Christmas, we were really ready for a "fresh start".
