Impromptu Picnic

Every other Tuesday, we have started attending a group called MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). I think we are really going to enjoy it. It is held at a local church and there are a ton of moms and kids.

The kids go play in their little classes while the moms eat breakfast, talk, listen to a guest speaker, do projects, or other activities.

Kate loves going (we've only been twice, but she has a blast). Jack has a lot of fun, too.

It's early... it starts at 9:00, which can be tough getting all three of us ready and out the door by 8:40. It's nice, though, because after it's over, it's still fairly early and we can run a few errands and be back home by nap time.

Last week, the weather was GORGEOUS!!!!!!! I am just loving this fall weather.

We had just gotten a super cute blanket for picnics and it was already in the back of the van, so we had an impromptu picnic at the park.

Kate asked for bagels, so we drove through St. Louis Bread Company, picked up some bagels and I already had a few snacks in the car.

We headed to our park, spread out our blanket under a big tree, and feasted on bagels and Teddy Grahams. ha!

Then, the kids played and played and played. Jack had a hard time staying on the equipment for his age. He is fearless. He climbed to all the high slides, tried to climb the rock wall... he's my little daredevil.

Can you spot him??

I love days like this!! Our days at home are wonderful, just playing all day and lounging around. But, I love our "adventure" days, too.
